Attending the Adult Literacy webinar hosted by Birds Learning Network was an inspiring and enriching experience. The session delved into the profound connection between culture and literacy, highlighting how literacy is shaped by cultural norms, values, and traditions, and how it, in turn, preserves and strengthens cultural identity. Discussions explored the importance of culturally responsive practices in education and the role of literacy in documenting and passing down cultural knowledge.

As a participant, I gained valuable insights into how culture influences adult learning and how literacy can empower individuals and communities. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of fostering inclusive and culturally aware learning environments.
